Je suis humain

Until now, I'd always been puzzled with people's lack of reaction to tragedies like the one that happened in Paris last week... This time, I was pleased to see that people seemed to really care about what happened to the journalists at Charlie Hebdo, to the policemen and to the hostages who got killed. I was even stunned to see that people cared about it worldwide and not only the french... Now, here in France, it seems like people began to show their support to Charlie Hebdo like it's become a fashionable thing to do and it doesn't feel very ethical to me, considering all the horrors that are still happening in other countries and that don't seem to catch the attention of my fellow french people. I still have good hopes, though, that these events will be an open door for people to be more aware of what's going on elsewhere and to pay more attention to other people's distress.

I chose here to depict people from several places of the world but also from different eras, because the best way to help stop tragedies to happen is to be aware of their existence now and in the past.

"Je suis Charlie" and most of all "Je suis Humain" !
